I recently had the opportunity to thoroughly enjoy the El Güegüense, a maduro robusto ‘top-5 of 2018’ cigar also known to English speakers as ‘The Wiseman’ on a sunny afternoon at Jerry’s Cigars in Tuscon, AZ.

Though Jerry’s is nestled within a somewhat generic strip mall in the northern section of town, you’ll soon realize it’s well worth the trip for any BOTL, as they have a very solid selection of curated cigars, featuring brands like Fuente, Ashton, Patel and Camacho. The walk in humidor keeps the entire selection close to eye level and accessible. The lounge consists of a series of leather chairs in the center of the store where conversation is often lively amongst staff and patrons. It’s very comfortable with televisions flanking the chairs on the far wall above the cigar lockers. Jerry’s stocks almost the entire selection of Xikar accessories as well as a large selection of Peterson pipes. For those looking for some of the finest lighters available today, they have a large curio of S.T. Dupont lighters.
After some enjoyable cigar banter with Alan, he encouraged me to try The Wiseman (as I had yet not had the pleasure), which I enjoyed in the lounge under their high ceilings with great ventilation (a definite plus).
Jerry’s has been serving the Tuscon area for over twelve years and has a very loyal customer base as a result. If you’re in Tuscon for the Gem Show – or any other reason for that matter – Jerry’s is definitely worth a stop for relaxing puff.
