Bearface Triple Oak Whisky is a sourced, single grain whisky (corn) that has been aged for 7 years in ex-bourbon American oak on the shores of Georgian Bay, Ontario. It is then finished in the Okanagan Valley of British Colombia in tight grain, French oak red wine barrels (previously used by Mission Hill Winery in BC) and then finally in virgin Hungarian oak barrels.

CONCLUSIONS

Bearface Triple Oak is ultimately a very smooth Canadian whisky with a rich, spicy character and more than ample complexity. The unique barrel finishing process used is the real kicker here, and has resulted in a sophisticated Canadian whisky that sips like something far more aged (and expensive) than it actually is purported to be.

Can be enjoyed neat, with a little ice, or as a wonderful base for a spirit-forward cocktail.
